Interesting fact, that was even verified by Israeli researchers with DNA testing. Of the small number of Sefadic Jews ( Hebrew Jews… Not Kazars) who always lived in Palestine since it was Canaan , many many of them were forced to convert to Islam under the Ottoman empire.
