• @#3IATLAS @Solar On 6 Oct 2025, daytime observations of interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS were made from the UK using a Meade 90 mm solar telescope, 2× Barlow, and full-spectrum Sony A7S on a Paramount ME mount. The high-resolution setup, normally for solar imaging, enabled near-Sun tracking in visible and near-IR. Four video sequences and 22 stills were processed with darks, flats, stacking, and deconvolution. Results show a faint, diffuse structure ~15″ off the solar limb at PA 115°, angular length ~45″, matching ephemeris of 3I/ATLAS. No major solar flares occurred, excluding solar origin. The object lacked a long tail, with indications of smaller trailing fragments behind. Despite strong daylight scattering and possible reflections, persistence across sequences suggests a real detection. Further multi-wavelength monitoring and comparison with SOHO/STEREO data are recommended. This trial demonstrates that sensitive solar telescopes can probe faint interstellar bodies in daylight near the Sun.
